WebJul 7, 2012 · It wouldn't cost that much if I wasn't driving that many miles. Between depreciation and maintenance, I figure it costs an average of $4K to own an entry-level 3 series (E46). The first few years all of that is consumed by depreciation. At this point, the depreciation is close to 0.
