These fertilizers could be used to cultivate houseplants and greenhouse crops. WebNanoencapsulation of five different concentrations of granular urea (3, 7, 10, 30 and 50% w/v) in chitosan (1.5% w/v) hydrogel through ionotropic gelation resulted in formation of spherical nano-chitosan-urea particles varying in size from 75 to 250 nm. The nanoparticle sizes varied in accordance to the concentration of the supplemented urea.
